I am Pastor Jerry Lawson. Almost 20 years ago now, I was a young aggressive pastor at my first church with a lot of energy and a little knowledge.

Then something happened that changed the course of my life and my ministry. I attended a conference where Dr. Owen Weston was the featured speaker. By this point, I thought I had heard and seen everything there was about growing a church.

And then this guy got up and started telling me things no one had ever talked about. I mean, no one in my denomination or any other denomination seemed to know what Dr. Weston knew.

At the end of his presentation, I immediately grabbed him and booked a monthly appointment with him for the next 24 months.

Here's what you need to understand. I was leading a church with an annual budget of less than $100,000 and I had just committed to bringing this guy out every month at $5,000 a month for the next 24 months!

In other words, I committed more than 60% of my annual budget for two years! I believe God spoke to me that day and gave me the conviction to take a chance and do something different and man what a difference it has made.

To make a long story short, Dr. Weston and I worked together to develop what is now the 24toDouble model.

Our church was the "beta" test and from those two years of having Dr. Weston teach us, we not only doubled our church but together we developed the training model to help other churches grow.
